… She was then sent to a hospital in Thimphu for further treatment. The doctors at the hospital diagnosed her with atrial septal defect (ASD), so they scheduled her for 2-3 follow-up visits. The doctors then recommended surgery.
TSHERING YANGKI arrived in Thailand on Saturday, January 20, 2018, with her mother. She was scheduled to undergo atrial septal defect (C-ASD) surgery at the Children’s Heart Surgery Foundation’s Heart Surgery Center at Kasemrad Prachachuen Hospital on Monday, January 22, 2018. The surgery was a success and she was discharged from the hospital on Saturday, January 27, 2018.
On Wednesday, February 7, 2018, Nangwang Chimee Yangchen returned to Rajavithi Hospital for a heart scan and chest X-ray. It is a follow-up after surgery.
Nangwang Chimee Yangchen and her family traveled back to Bhutan in February 2018 and were able to return to their normal lives as children.
