Miss Phonprapass or Nong Bell is the daughter of Mrs. Phonpimol Khammee, 20 years old. She currently works as an employee at a 7-Eleven store in Khlong 6, Pathum Thani. Her father works as a general laborer. Nong Bell currently lives with her grandparents in Sakon Nakhon Province.
Grandma Noanchan Phan-et, 45 years old, works as a farmer with her grandparents in Phu Phan District, Sakon Nakhon Province. At home, there are grandparents and her uncle, the son of grandparents and Nong Bell. They have 5 rai of land, 3 rai of which are used for rice and the rest for cassava. However, the price is not good, so they do not have enough income to spend. They have to go out to do general labor, such as weeding, mushroom picking, and forest products to sell. Nong Bell’s mother sends her 2,000-3,000 baht per month.
Grandma told us that when she was pregnant, her mother went back to live with her grandparents and her mother registered her pregnancy at Phra Ajahn Ban Thanakaro Hospital in Sakon Nakhon Province. They did not perform regular checkups and the doctor did not inform her that there were any abnormalities. Until the baby was born, she had an abnormality in her stomach, which was not closed, so she was sent to Sakon Nakhon Hospital for surgery to close her stomach. She had to stay in the hospital for about a week before she could go home.
When she was a child, she was often sick. When she was sick, she would be sick for a long time. She ate little rice and milk, was small, thin, and did not gain weight. Until the end of December, she was not feeling well, so her grandmother took her to see a doctor at Phra Ajahn Ban Thanakaro Hospital. The doctor sent her for a detailed examination and found that she had a heart defect. So, they sent her to Sakon Nakhon Hospital for further treatment. After that, Sakon Nakhon Hospital coordinated with Pediatric Cardiac Surgery Foundation to send her for treatment and surgery at the foundation.
… The doctor will quickly find an appointment and then have the officer notify her. Grandma went to stay with her parents first to wait for the surgery, so she didn’t travel back to Sakon Nakhon yet. On Friday, the foundation’s officers called to inform her to bring her to the hospital to undergo the surgery on Saturday, January 26, 2019. The surgery went well. Belle stayed in the ICU for only 2 days before being able to move up to the normal ward. After staying in the hospital for 1 week, the doctor allowed her to go home. After the surgery, Grandma said that she was able to eat more rice and drink milk and was noticeably more naughty. Now, she is in kindergarten 1 at Ban Bo Duen 5 School, Phu Phan District, Sakon Nakhon Province. She will be able to go back to school with her friends again.
