Nut is the eldest of three siblings of Singha, a Cambodian who brought his family to work in a trade in Thailand.
Nut often got sick, was tired and short of breath, which caused her to miss school regularly. She also had to be careful when going to school because if she played too much, she would get tired easily. So her father brought her to be treated at the Queen Sirikit National Institute of Child Health (Children’s Hospital), even though he knew that it would cost a lot of money. However, he thought that he had to cure her. After the doctor made an appointment for a checkup at the Children’s Hospital for a while, the doctor transferred her to be a patient under the care of the Pediatric Cardiac Surgery Foundation because she did not have any rights to treatment.
Nut underwent surgery with assistance from the Pediatric Cardiac Surgery Foundation on August 20, 2012 at Kasemrad Prachachuen Hospital.
After the surgery, her father said that it was like his daughter had a new life. She was able to eat more and did not feel tired or short of breath like before. Her father would like to thank the foundation for helping pay for Nut’s surgery this time.
