Miss Monthakarn is the daughter of Mom Montien and Dad Boontang, both of whom work as construction workers and earn around 200-350 baht per day.
The mother told us that when she was pregnant with her daughter, she registered her pregnancy at Khlong Lan Hospital, Khlong Nam Sai District, Kamphaeng Phet Province. She went for regular checkups. However, during the pregnancy, the doctor found that she had pseudomembranous diabetes. However, after the cesarean section at the hospital, no diabetes was found. Both the mother and daughter were healthy and normal.
Until she was almost 2 years old, her parents started working in construction and lived at a construction site near Khlong 3, Rangsit. When she had a cold, her mother took her to see a pediatrician at a nearby clinic. When the doctor found that her daughter had an abnormal heartbeat, the doctor did not dare to give her any medicine and recommended that she be taken to the hospital for a more thorough checkup. So, the mother took her to Thanyaburi Hospital, where the doctor informed her that she had a congenital heart defect, which would take a long time and be expensive to treat. The mother then went back to request a referral letter from Khlong Lan Hospital, who then sent her to Kamphaeng Phet Hospital, and Kamphaeng Phet Hospital sent her to Sawang Pracharak Hospital. They sent her to the Children’s Hospital because at that time, the father and mother were working in Rangsit, so it was more convenient to take her there for treatment.
… And often joins the school’s activities continuously, both being a school takraw player, being a school volleyball player until being a representative to compete in the 6-person indoor volleyball team of the school group in the municipality of Khlong Nam Sai Subdistrict, won 2nd place, etc. Currently, Nong lives with her father, mother and 1 half-brother at her grandmother’s old house. Her father still works as a construction worker, earning 350 baht per day, while her mother has to take care of Nong, so she can’t work to her full potential, but she still works in construction, but earns 200 baht per day. On days when she has to take Nong to see the doctor, she has to stop working. In the future, Nong will focus on studying hard because she wants to be a doctor so she can save other people’s lives and let them recover from illnesses and live happily.
