Father Joe and mother Ae are both Burmese who have been working in Thailand for about 10 years. They both work as milking cows in Saraburi Province. They earn about 7,000 baht per month, which is not enough to make ends meet. Later, they changed jobs and came to work at a T-shirt factory. The factory is located near Phra Ram 2. They have only been working for about 4 months and earn 300 baht per day, but they have to send 250 baht to their grandmother.
Ma-u was born at Charoenkrung Pracharak Hospital. Shortly after birth, the doctor found that Ma-u had extra blood vessels in her heart. She needed surgery to recover.
Ma-u underwent surgery with help from the Pediatric Cardiac Surgery Foundation. She underwent surgery to correct her heart abnormality at Kasemrad Prachachuen Hospital on February 5, 2015. After the surgery, Ma-u’s condition has improved steadily and she has a chance to grow up and live like a normal child.
