Tandin is the son of Duptho Kiuley, 28, and Aliclup Zauymo, 26. His father is a painter and his mother is a housewife. He has two children, Tandin is the oldest child and has a two-year-old younger sister. While traveling to Thailand for surgery, he had to leave his younger sister with his aunt in Bhutan. Tandin’s family lives in Thimpu, Bhutan. His father said that around September 2016, he began to notice that Tandin had chest pains and was short of breath when running. So, he took him to see a doctor at the hospital. The doctor diagnosed that Tandin had a congenital heart defect and needed surgery. The doctor contacted The Pediatric Cardiac Surgery Foundation, and they traveled to Rajavithi Hospital for surgery to treat his congenital heart defect. After the surgery, Tandin’s condition improved significantly. He is more cheerful and bright. He can run and play more than just walking. Until he was able to leave the hospital on Saturday, March 18, 2017.
On March 22, 2017, Tandin returned to Rajavithi Hospital for a heart check-up and lung X-ray after surgery. After removing the stitches and checking his symptoms, he will travel back to Bhutan.
