Nong Pawarit or Nong Stang is the son of .32 Khun Mae Suwanwipa Luanmeephet, 33 years old. Currently, her mother suffers from SLE, which causes her weight to increase to 105 kilograms and she is also blind in both eyes. Since her mother started to get sick around 2012, she had to go in and out of the hospital all the time. Before it was discovered that she had SLE, it caused an infection that required removing one of her eyes. After that, when her mother returned to work as usual, she was hit by a truck, causing bleeding and nearing the retina, causing her to have a headache. The eye doctor performed surgery, but it was too late, so the other eye became blind as well. Originally, there were 5 people in her family: her, her father, her mother who also worked at ThaiBev, her grandfather who had diabetic retinopathy, which caused her to have poor vision, and her grandmother. Currently, her mother still has to come for SLE treatment at Rajavithi Hospital as scheduled. As for her father, who became the breadwinner of the family, he used to be a QC employee at ThaiBev in Kamphaeng Phet. But in July 2019, my father was driving a motorcycle to do some errands with my sister and had an accident. The motorcycle went off the road and hit his head on a tree stump, penetrating his skull and killing him. As for Nong Stang, she suffered a broken collarbone. Now, she has fully recovered and is being taken care of by her grandparents. My grandmother is the breadwinner of the family, doing general labor. My grandfather is sick and cannot work. My mother is also sick and had to quit her job to receive treatment. My father recently passed away. Their living conditions are quite difficult. My grandmother told me that when she was pregnant with Nong Stang, she went for checkups and prenatal care as usual. Until she gave birth, she did not receive any notification. My grandfather only said that when he was taking care of Nong Stang, he noticed that her heart was beating abnormally fast and that she was not strong and often sick. When Nong was 7 months old, she got sick, so he took her to Khlong Khlung Hospital. Nothing was wrong. So he took her to see a doctor at the clinic of a doctor who was the former director of the hospital. This doctor said that Nong might have congenital heart disease, so he recommended that she be taken for a more detailed checkup. At that time, my mother was still working at ThaiBev, which had a Chang beer clinic as a benefit. There will be specialist doctors going to check up in various provinces. When the cardiologist came to check up, the mother took her child to get checked. The doctor informed her that she had congenital heart disease, a ventricular rupture, and other abnormalities. The doctor recommended that she get a referral from Kamphaeng Phet Hospital to be sent to the Children’s Hospital for treatment. After a while, when she was about 3 years old, the Children’s Hospital sent her to receive surgery under the care of the Pediatric Cardiac Surgery Foundation. She received surgery at Kasemrad Prachachuen Hospital. After the surgery, her symptoms clearly improved a lot. She no longer had shortness of breath. She was able to play football and eat more. Currently, Nong Stang is 7 going on 8 years old and is studying in Grade 1 at Ban Khong Phai Community School, Khong Phai Subdistrict, Khanu Woralaksaburi District, Kamphaeng Phet Province. Nong Stang intends to work to help support her mother and take care of her grandparents when she grows up.
