Chanon, surname Lu, is the fourth child of Ms. Xiao Feng, surname Lu, who is a Burmese and Chinese national. He is an unregistered person. His family works as a vegetable farmer and general laborer, earning 120 baht per day. In addition to Chanon, his mother has 3 other children and takes care of an elderly person. The family is poor. Their house is located at 1276 Moo 5, Mae Ngon Subdistrict, Fang District, Chiang Mai Province.
Just a few days after Chanon was born, the doctor diagnosed him with a heart condition and had to perform surgery as soon as possible. However, the surgery was very expensive, causing Ms. Xiao Feng’s family to have financial problems and not know what to do. Fortunately, the doctor recommended that Maharaj Nakorn Chiang Mai Hospital have a project in collaboration with the foundation to support heart surgery for children, which could help Chanon’s surgery. When the doctor contacted the foundation, the foundation accepted Chanon as its patient. Nong Chanon underwent surgery at Maharaj Nakorn Chiang Mai Hospital on November 8, 2011, when he was only 8 days old.
I am very happy. I would like to thank the foundation and Nu Skin for helping with the cost of the surgery. It is such a great favor to our family that I don’t know what to say. It is like giving new life, like a Buddha who helps the poor. My family will never forget this kindness and will always remember it.
