Baby Brazil is the first child of father So Myung Aye and mother Nan Mya Mya San. Both are Burmese who came to work as general laborers with an uncertain income. Originally, the mother worked as a housewife with an income of 5,000 baht per month. However, the father has now been working in a furniture factory in Min Buri for about 6 years. The father works alone and earns 9,000 baht per month. The mother is a housewife because she has to take care of Baby Brazil.
Baby Brazil was born at Nopparat Hospital. At birth, she was normal. When she was 1 month old, she had jaundice, so we took her to see a doctor. The doctor listened to her abnormal heartbeat and sent her to the Queen Sirikit National Institute of Child Health (Children’s Hospital). The doctor found that she had a heart condition and recommended surgery.
Before the surgery, Brazil got tired easily. When sucking milk, he had to stop and rest for a while. He breathed quickly.
After about 2 months of treatment at the Children’s Hospital, Brazil underwent surgery at Kasemrad Prachachuen Hospital on Thursday, September 18, 2014. He received help from Pediatric Cardiac Surgery Foundation because he did not have any medical rights.
The doctor said that Brazil had a congenital heart disease that required multiple surgeries. Each time,
it cost a lot of money. The father was happy that he received help this time and would like to thank Pediatric Cardiac Surgery Foundation and the kind donors who helped pay for the surgery.
