Following our successful January 2023 outreach program, where 47 children underwent life-saving surgeries (with nearly all making a full recovery), we’re pleased to announce the completion of another successful mission. 35 children have already undergone successful surgeries and returned for follow-up appointments. Young and old alike, they are now free from breathlessness and cyanosis, vibrant and playing happily – a sight that invigorates our entire team.
One little girl, who underwent a highly complex Nikaidoh aortic root translocation surgery, even knelt and bowed at our feet in gratitude.
These children come from impoverished families, many living in conflict zones where simply ensuring safety and adequate food is a daily struggle. Receiving life-saving heart surgery through our efforts truly represents an impossible dream realized.
Approximately 120 children with heart conditions are currently seeking our assistance. Once again, our dedicated medical professionals and generous donors will unite to make the dream of survival a reality for these children.
