The Pediatric Heart Surgery Foundation has organized the “800 Children’s Heart Surgery Project as a Merit-Making Ceremony” on the auspicious occasion of Her Majesty the Queen’s 80th birthday in 2012. The Pediatric Heart Surgery Foundation will perform 800 heart surgeries on children with congenital heart disease as a merit-making ceremony. The foundation will provide assistance to poor children in remote areas with congenital heart disease from all regions of the country, including hill tribe children and stateless children living along the Thai border who lack access to timely treatment and heart surgery so that they can return to their normal lives.
The Pediatric Heart Surgery Foundation will provide support for travel expenses, food and accommodation during the surgery in Bangkok, as well as other excess medical expenses necessary for treatment.
For the 800 Children’s Heart Surgery Project as a Merit-Making Ceremony It will start from 12 August 2009 – 12 August 2012, with surgeries being performed at Rajavithi Hospital and Kasemrad Prachachuen Hospital.
