Pediatric Cardiac Surgery Foundation (PCSF) and Rajavithi Hospital Host Seminar on Grown-up Congenital Heart Disease (GUCH)

 The Pediatric Cardiac Surgery Foundation (PCSF), in collaboration with Rajavithi Hospital, recently hosted a seminar titled “Grown-up Complex Congenital Heart Disease (GUCH): The Thai Evolution,” focusing on “Single Ventricle and Fontan Palliation.”  The event featured esteemed speakers from various related fields, including:

• Prof. Apichai Kongpattana yothin, Pediatric Cardiologist, Heart Bangkok Hospital

• Assoc. Prof. Suvipaporn Siripornpitak, Radiology Specialist, Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, Mahidol University

• Prof. Erik Thaulow, Medicine, University of Oslo, Head, Section of Pediatric Cardiology, Rikshospitalet University of Oslo, Norway

The seminar aimed to educate healthcare professionals—doctors, medical students, and nurses—on the latest advancements in managing grown-up congenital heart disease, specifically focusing on patients transitioning into adulthood.  The goal was to empower healthcare providers to provide optimal care, enabling these patients to live full and healthy lives, including the ability to have families without compromising their own or their children’s health.

The seminar was held at the Sa-ad Siriwattana Building, 1st Floor Conference Room, Institute of Cardiovascular Disease, Rajavithi Hospital, Bangkok.
