PCSF PACEMAKER CAMP

           The Pediatric Cardiac Surgery Foundation (PCSF) recently held its “PCSF PACEMAKER CAMP,” a program for 55 children with congenital heart disease who have permanent pacemakers, and their caregivers.  The camp featured lectures on pacemakers and self-care, practical sessions on pulse and heart sound assessment, and familiarization with pacemakers.  Basic life support training was also provided to both patients and caregivers.

Dr. Kanyalak Vithessonthi, Pediatric Cardiologist at the PCSF, presided over the opening ceremony.  The program also included presentations by leading experts: Dr. Supalak Kanjanauthai, Pediatric Cardiologist specializing in arrhythmias from Siriraj Hospital; Dr. Sarin Lekchuensakul, Dr. Sornon Traitilanant, and Dr. Angkwipha Suprungreung, Pediatric Cardiologists from Chulalongkorn Hospital; Dr. Sarayuth Pinta, Dr. Ratthawallop Somah, Dr. Ketnipa Sinsuphan, and Dr. Chutarat Chaiveeraphandech, Pediatric Cardiology residents from Chulalongkorn Hospital.  These esteemed speakers provided valuable insights and practical guidance to ensure patients and caregivers understand how to safely manage their condition on a daily basis.  The camp was held at the Sa-ad Siripat Building, 1st Floor Conference Room, Rajavithi Hospital, Bangkok.
