Home INR Project

The Pediatric Cardiac Surgery Foundation urgently needs portable INR (International Normalized Ratio) blood coagulation monitors to improve the lives of our young patients.  These monitors are vital for children born with single-ventricle heart defects and those who have undergone heart valve replacement surgery.  These children require lifelong blood-thinning medication and frequent blood tests to monitor their INR levels.  Many live in remote areas, making monthly trips to clinics for testing difficult and inconvenient.

To address this challenge, we’ve launched a program to loan portable INR testing devices to these families, allowing them to test at home and report results to our foundation for medication adjustments.

Each portable INR monitor costs 26,750 baht, and test strips cost 1,160 baht per pack of six.  Currently, we need to provide these devices to approximately 50 children.

Your generous donation will directly impact these children’s health and well-being.  We sincerely appreciate your support in helping us provide these crucial devices and improve access to vital healthcare for children with congenital heart disease.  Thank you for your kindness and compassion.
