Our foundation’s medical team conducted a medical outreach program to screen children with heart conditions at Maesot Hospital. The medical team and nurses worked diligently to examine and perform echocardiograms on all patients. A total of 39 patients were identified as requiring surgery. Four patients need catheterization to close heart defects, one needs cardiac ablation, and 11 need imaging studies for further treatment planning.
All patients were from impoverished backgrounds; 16 were Thai children, and the remainder were stateless children
