48 Heart Operations Project

          Project Hope Foundation International, found in 1958, New York, USA, is a non-profit organization working with health issues in order to support different organizations which would like to train their staffs, increase the efficiency and also provide necessary facilities.

            Project Hope Foundation International, in co-ordination with PCSF and Heart Center, Phyathai Hospital, had launched a project to perform operations for 48 children without any expenses. The purposes of this project are:

            – To help and support children with poverty who have congenital heart disease and are waiting for operations, so they can lead their normal lives

            – To enhance potential and efficiency of Heart Institute’s doctors and nurses

            – To hold “Critical Pediatric Care Training” (CPCT) for Heart Center’s nurses

            – To hold the training “Pediatric Perfusion” for Heart Center’s nurses

            The first operation took place on 6 August 2002 and completed on 3 December 2002.
